Your daughter and her friends become part of Barbie's dream world with this party. Think pink and pretty, and your party will be perfect!

Decorations

·        20-30 pink & white balloons inflated with helium

·        Pink and white streamers

·        Pink vinyl tablecloth

·        White plates, forks, cups, and napkins

·        Card table with its own pink tablecloth -- Set up a separate table for your daughter's favorite Barbie's birthday. Set up a Barbie table and chairs on the card table. When the guests arrive, they will place their dolls at the Barbie table.

Food

·        Barbie cake -- Make a two-layer cake, putting enough frosting on the middle layer so the cake height matches the length of a Barbie doll's legs and torso. Freeze the cake. After it's frozen, cut a hole in the middle, wrap the doll in plastic wrap and insert it into the hole. Decorate the "dress" or cake with frosting.

·        Peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwiches cut into the shape of hearts

·        Fresh fruit

·        Rainbow-colored Goldfish crackers

·        Pink & white M&M's

Activities/Games

Fashion Show -- Create an aisle with several of the balloons for the girls to walk down wearing their dress-up outfits. Have an adult as a cameraman to take pictures of the girls as they walk the runway and pose. Have another adult act as an announcer, announcing each girl and what she's wearing as they walk out.

Barbie Hunt -- Buy a Barbie doll and different Barbie outfit for each guest. (Get the least-expensive dolls you can find.) Take pictures of each doll and the individual pieces of the outfit. Hide the dolls and the pieces of the outfits in the party room or a few rooms. Give each guest the photos of the doll and pieces of the outfit she will be looking for and send them on the hunt.

Barbie Playtime -- After the guests have found their dolls and outfits, let them play with them, change their outfits, etc. while you set up the food.

Freeze Dance -- Get some children's music (CDs, MP3s) and get the girls dancing. Every minute or two, pause the music. The girls still moving are out of the game. The last girl in the game wins a prize.

Party Favors

Each guest takes home the Barbie doll and outfit from the Barbie Hunt, a balloon or two, and a grab bag filled with dress-up jewelry and baggies of pink & white M&Ms.
