Children's secondhand store opens in Salem, N.H.

Gently Loved Baby, a children's resale store, has opened in Salem, N.H. Located at 356 Broadway next to Sea World Pet Center, the secondhand shop is a bright, organized store that makes it easy to find what you're looking for.

Owner Simone Vermette says she's trying to make it more appealing to people to shop at secondhand stores. A veteran resale shopper, she visited children’s resale shops throughout New England, Seattle, North Carolina and Florida in anticipation of opening her own resale business.

“I found big, beautiful stores that were bright and well-organized,” said Vermette, “and I began to obsess about bringing a store of that caliber to the Merrimack Valley.”

Gently Loved Baby sells clothing, toys, games, gear and maternity clothes. If you have items you don't need anymore, you can bring them to Gently Loved Baby to be sold. Vermette likes to remind people that "there's an economic stimulus package hiding in your kid's closet."

Visit Gently Loved Baby's website for more information.
