Foamie Hand Centerpiece or Door Hanger
Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Get your kids involved with the holiday decor with this turkey craft.
SUPPLIES
& TOOLS:
- Fall colored Foamie™ sheets
- Foam glue
- Two small beads for eyes
- Scissors
- Pencil or marker
- Foamie™ pre-cut doorknob hanger (only for the door hanger)
- Cord or yarn for legs (only for the door hanger)
- Hole punch (only for the door hanger)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Trace child's footprint on brown Foamie to form body and cut out.
2. Trace child's handprint (6-12 times) on Foamie sheets and cut out.
3. For centerpiece, roll one sheet into a tube. Glue and secure until dry.
4. Glue handprints to tube (for centerpiece) or to door hanger.
5. Continue to build turkey using footprint as body and
handprints to make feathers. Glue in place. (See photo.)
6. Add beads for eyes and add yellow beak and red piece for gobbler.
7. For door hanger, punch two holes at the bottom of the turkey and one on each of the hands that make up the feet. Tie yarn through holes in body and feed.
8. For centerpiece, cut out two handprints and glue to the bottom of the tube for feet.
