Children's reading will take flight with this kite bookmark. With a little help from an adult, kids can make this colorful craft for their own use or for gifts.

Supplies:

White card stock

Markers

Narrow ribbon

Glue

Scissors

Ruler

Directions:

Draw kite shapes on the card stock and color/decorate them using the markers.

Cut out the kite shapes.

Cut one 8-inch piece of ribbon and three 3-inch pieces of ribbon.

Glue the long piece to the back of a kite shape.

Tie a knot in the center of each smaller piece of ribbon and glue them onto the longer piece of ribbon. Let dry.
