If your child is a fan of the TV show "Survivor," then this challenge-filled party is sure to please. While no one will be voted out of the party, there will be plenty of reward challenges, including the famous food challenge. Survivors ready?!

Supplies

·        Water balloons

·        Small jigsaw puzzles

·        Hula-Hoops

·        Jump ropes

·        Pieces of rope tied into many intricate knots

·        Rewards (prizes) for winning the challenges (Store gift cards, McDonald's gift cards, CDs, DVDs, bags of candy)

Food

·        Water bottles and/or juice boxes

·        Food challenge items -- Cold spaghetti for worms, cooked cauliflower for monkey brains, sausage-stuffed crescent rolls for cocoons, deviled eggs with sliced green olives for eyeballs, tomato juice for blood.

Activities/Games

Buy different colored bandannas (you want two of each color) and put them into a bag or container. When the guests arrive, each takes a bandanna. These are their "buffs". People with the same color will be a team or "tribe".

Tribe challenges

·        Three-legged race

·        Water balloon toss

·        Endurance course -- On a field set up a course that includes such things as stops to jump rope 10 times, jump a certain distance, do five cartwheels, and sit on a balloon to pop it. Each tribe member must go through the course. The tribe who completes it the fastest wins reward.

Individual challenges

·        Hula-Hoop contest -- Who can hula the longest?

·        Jump-rope contest -- Who can jump the longest?

·        Timed puzzle solving

·        Obstacle course -- If you're at a playground, map out a course using the equipment there. The Survivor who completes the course the fastest wins reward.)

·        Food challenge -- Each Survivor takes turns eating each item described above. Once everyone has had a chance to eat one of the foods, move on to the next. If a guest isn't able to stomach the food, he drops out. If more than one person is able to eat each food, they must compete in the knot untying challenge as a tiebreaker. Give each a piece of rope tied into many intricate knots. The Survivor who unties the knots the fastest wins.

Party Favors

Each guest takes home the hula-hoop, jump rope, and puzzle he used in the challenges, as well as the rewards they received.
